"I realised early on that the very best reason to start a business for me was to give expression to my passions. Theatre, young people and learning are all passions of mine- so setting up a theatre company that was dedicated to young people learning through theatre was a no brainer. I started the business in 2009 just after the GFC struck. People said I was crazy leaving a teaching job to start a business (particularly an arts business) during a Global Recession but I thought some of those guys were crazy staying in jobs that they were less than chuffed with. It was not an easy road. It gave me a few scars but it also provided me with some incredible lessons to take into my other businesses. Chief among these  – Start with your Passions. My experience of people who only do it for the money is this – when things get financially tricky they tend to lose their passion for the business incredibly quickly. Of course things have to work financially but if you don’t believe deeply in the importance of your business why should anyone else."

“'The Pack' was born of my passion for learning, business and people. I love entrepreneurs. I love their courage, creativity and commitment. Entrepreneurship for me is not just about business, it’s about realising your full human potential and taking charge of your life. It’s about changing the world into the way you would like it to be and getting paid for it. It’s about believing in yourself and what you do and helping others to do the same. "

Andrew’s interests include travel, sport, music, reading, surfing, running and hanging out with his wife and two beautiful girls.
